Elvis Presley war einer der kommerziell erfolgreichsten Filmschauspieler seiner Zeit und eine herausragende Figur im Musik- und Filmgeschäft. Zwischen 1956 und 1969 spielte er in 31 Spielfilmen, die mit ihm als Hauptdarsteller in die Kinos kamen. Diese Filme zeichneten sich weniger durch cineastische Meisterwerke als durch einen enormen Kassenerfolg und eine starke Fangemeinde aus, die sie bis heute beliebt und im Fernsehen präsent hält.
